Bringing Out the Best Within You

Whenever there is an overwhelming desire in your heart….use your discrimination. Ask yourself, “Is it a good desire or a bad desire for which I seek fulfillment?”

Material desires encourage our bad habits by engendering false hopes of satisfaction and happiness. At such times one should summon his discriminative powers to reveal the truth: Bad habits lead ultimately to unhappiness. Thus exposed, bad habits become impotent to hold man in their misery-making sway.

Resisting temptations isn’t the denial of all the pleasures of life; it is to have supernal control over what you want to do. I am showing you the way to real freedom, not the false sense of freedom that in fact is compelling you to do what your habits lead you to do.
