 3. Abhyasa—The Practice

It is also advisable to have a set of clean, lose-fitting and comfortable clothes which are to be used only for meditation.

Although all these instructions are ideal, you do not have to worry too much about the details as long as you can sit down in a quiet place, indoors or outdoors, undisturbed, and practise your meditation.

Wash your arms and face and feet before you sit in a comfortable posture on your seat. Face any direction you like but try to stick to the same direction every day.
